This modern two-tone grey Kosher kitchen for a home in Hendon, North London, marries the sophisticated look of a floating island with the practicality of multiple cooking zones in a large family home. The project extended well beyond the main kitchen to include an additional Passover kitchen as well as a new bathroom.

This project aimed to create a modern light open plan kitchen to suit a large family in an open living space. We started by choosing the right cabinetry — we chose Next 125 in White Matt and Metallic Platinum Glass, which gave us a sleek look and the perfect base for our design.
The kitchen was created to suit a large family and their entertaining needs, as well as being able to accommodate large groups of children. The solution was to create pockets for eating, playing and cooking, whether for a large group of children or entertaining adults. This family required a Passover kitchen which, due to COVID-19, we had to improvise with a make-shift worktop to ensure the family could live at home during this time.
We created an island with ample storage and prep space that could handle all of the family's needs. We opted for two Quooker hot taps on either side of the sink, giving them easy access to hot water while cooking or cleaning up. On top of the island is a Calacatta Extreme 60mm worktop in White Matt that was custom-made specifically for this project.
The appliances are Gaggenau and Siemens, both high-quality brands with excellent reputations among professional chefs. The final touch was adding White and Metallic Bronze Stainless Steel sinks. A separate utility room was also built with space to store laundry and one family and two en-suite bathrooms with bespoke sinks and cabinetry.
